About the 10-Color System

Most aura tests use 7 colors — the chakra-aligned set: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet. This test uses 10. Three additional colors operate beyond the chakra system, reflecting either extraordinary integration or deep liminal passage:

  • Gold — once-in-a-generation earned wisdom. Not a starting color. It arrives after the long dark night of the soul has finished its work.
  • White — the frequency before words. All colors simultaneously. Highly developed spiritual practitioners or brief peak moments.
  • Black — the chrysalis. Profound transformation in progress. Not negative; transitional. Almost always resolves into Violet, Indigo, or Gold.

The test scores all 10 weighted by your answers. You'll see your primary, your secondary, and the personalized reading explaining what your specific combination means for you right now.

The Methodology Behind the Test

How the result is calculated, in three layers.

Layer 1
Weighted question scoring

22 questions. Each option carries weighted points to 1-3 specific colors. The questions are designed to surface different facets of your energetic field — your nervous-system baseline, what drains you, what you protect, what you destroy, where you feel emotion in your body, what season feels most you. The cumulative score across all 22 questions produces your primary and secondary colors.

Layer 2
10-color framework

7 chakra-aligned primaries (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet) plus 3 special-tier colors (Gold, White, Black). The 10-color system is more granular than most tests, and it can correctly identify the rare practitioners that 7-color tests systematically misclassify.

Layer 3
AI-personalized reading

Once your primary and secondary are scored, your specific quiz answers are passed to a generative AI that writes a 200-word reading referencing what you actually said. Not a paragraph from a database — a reading written for you, in this moment. This is what makes the test substantially more accurate than tests that return a generic write-up of the color.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this aura color test accurate?+

More accurate than most. Most aura tests use 5-7 generic categories and 8-10 questions. This test uses 10 colors (including the rare special-tier Gold, White, and Black) and 22 weighted questions calibrated across emotional baseline, energy timing, social tendencies, recent life context, and aesthetic resonance. Each option carries weighted points to 1–3 specific colors, and the runner-up is shown as your secondary aura.

What's the methodology behind this test?+

Three layers. (1) The 10-color framework draws from Vedic, occult, and modern energetic traditions — 7 chakra-aligned primaries plus 3 special-tier colors that operate beyond the chakra system. (2) The 22 questions cover 8+ different dimensions of your energetic field. (3) The personalized reading uses generative AI to write a 200-word interpretation referencing your specific answers in real time.

How long does the test take?+

About 5 minutes. 22 questions, average 10–15 seconds per question, plus 30 seconds for the AI to generate your personalized reading. Total: 5–6 minutes.

Why does this test use 10 colors instead of 7?+

Most aura tests stop at the 7 chakra colors (red through violet). This test includes 3 additional special-tier colors — Gold (earned wisdom), White (full spectrum integration), and Black (chrysalis state). These three are rare (3-5% each) but real and important. Excluding them flattens the spectrum and forces the rare practitioners into colors that don't fit them.

Can I take the test multiple times?+

Yes. Aura colors shift through life phases, so re-taking it after major events (relationship changes, career pivots, deep healing work, illness recovery) can show interesting evolution. Most people's primary color is stable across years; secondary colors are more mobile.
